History/Overview
Honda's large sedan is now in its 10th generation, though this Hybrid has been around for much less time. The latest version of the electrified Accord was launched in 2018, so three years later Honda has made some small changes for 2021 to help keep it looking fresh.
What's New
A wider grille that better integrates the car's driver assistance sensors is the most noticeable change outside, as are the new LED headlights. The Hybrid gets its own version of the grille that includes a blue H badge and hybrid logos. Like the gas-only sedan, Accord Hybrid gets wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay plus wireless device charging. Blind spot assistance and a rear belt reminder are included and Honda Sensing has been tweaked for smoother braking and more natural-feeling lane centering. The two-motor hybrid system has been updated and Honda says it has more direct throttle response and more natural-feeling acceleration as well as being able to spend more time running on the battery
Available Trims
The Accord Hybrid comes in two trims, base Hybrid and top Touring. Both have a 2.0L four and electric motor combo that delivers 212 hp. There is no gearbox like a conventional vehicle.
Standard Features
Honda Accord Hybrid comes with Honda Sensing driver assistance suite including collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise with low-speed follow, lane keeping, blind spot alert, and rear cross traffic monitoring. 17-inch alloys are standard along with a 7.0-inch digital dash, active noise control and dual-zone climate, and an acoustic windshield. Power door locks and windows, and proximity key with push-start are standard while the driver seat has 12-way power adjustment (four-way manual passenger) with heated front seats and a heated leather-wrapped wheel. The seating surfaces are fabric and leatherette.
Touring adds 19-inch wheels and adaptive suspension. The top spec has rain-sensing wipers, power passenger seat, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats (all in perforated leather). It adds navigation to the infotainment system as well as parking sensors and head-up display.
